Discover the rich history of settlement, conflict and change during the struggle for control of North America and learn about the importance of this site to Mi’kmaw, French, Acadian, and British history on the Island. Explore the extensive trail system and enjoy a truly unique picnic experience on the grounds near the ruins of the old British fort with spectacular views of Charlottetown. Be sure to view the Acadian Odyssey monument commemorating the deportation and look for the site of the former homestead of Michel Haché-Gallant and his family.
